Add a JaxCat seach box to your blog

  1. Log in to your Blogger account

  2. On your blog dashboard click on Layout

  3. Click on Page Elements

  4. In the page layout area, on the right-hand side, click on "add a page element"

  5. In the pop up window scroll down, choose HTML/JavaScript, click "add to blog"

  6. Copy the code from the following document completely and paste into the content area. Click here.
    This is what it should look like (click image to see a bigger picture):

  7. Click save.

  8. Save your blog template.

  9. Click View Blog at the top of your screen. You will have to refresh your page to see your JaxCat search box on your blog.

Alternate instructions:
  1. Go to the Google Gadgets JaxCat Search Page

  2. Adjust the width to 215

  3. Change the height to 275

  4. Click on "Get Code"

  5. Copy the code in the box that appears below the gadet.

  6. Log in to your blogger blog (if you haven't already done so)

  7. On your blog dashboard click on Layout

  8. Click on Page Elements

  9. In the page layout area, on the right-hand side, click on "add a page element"

  10. In the pop up window scroll down, choose HTML/JavaScript, click "add to blog"

  11. Paste the code from the google gadget into the content window (see image above)

  12. Click save

  13. Save your blog template.

  14. Click View Blog at the top of your screen. You will have to refresh your page to see your JaxCat search box on your blog.


More Fun:
If you have your own iGoogle page you can add the JaxCat gadet their as well.
  1. Log in to (or create) your iGoogle page

  2. Go to the Google Gadget JaxCat Seach page

  3. Click "add it now"

  4. Return to your iGoogle page. Your JaxCat search box will now be on your iGoogle page.
